Temidayo Akinsanya

Lead Pastor

I have the joy of leading Restoration Church, where we’re all about seeing lives transformed by Jesus. My heart is for people to truly know Him, reflect His love in their daily lives, and follow Him wholeheartedly.

My family and I have called Laurel home for over a decade, and we love this community. I studied Electrical Engineering at Morgan State University and later earned a Master’s in Biblical Studies from Reformed Theological Seminary. Alongside pastoring, I also work as a Data Scientist.

When I’m not preaching or crunching data, you’ll probably find me reading a good book, taking a walk, or battling it out in a board game. Whether you’re exploring faith for the first time or looking for a church to call home, I’d love to meet you and hear your story.

Kwame Asante

Music Team Leader

I have the pleasure of leading the music team at Restoration church. I was born and raised in Silver Spring, Maryland and have been doing music in church for as long as I can remember. From the children’s choir, to the praise and worship team at his University of Virginia campus ministry, to the local church’s praise team, I have always gravitated toward service through song. I have led musical worship in a variety of cultural contexts and have grown to appreciate the many ways one can lift up praise to the Lord. I currently work as a software engineer and live in Laurel, Maryland. In my free time, I enjoy trying new foods and watching indie movies.

Modesta Akinsanya

Hospitality Team Lead

I have the pleasure of leading our hospitality team at Restoration Church. I enjoy helping our visitors feel welcome and comfortable when they visit us. I was born in Lome, Togo and have been a Marylander for the past 25 years. I graduated from with my Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from University of Maryland College Park and my Masters degree in Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. I work as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist and enjoying working out and listening podcast on wholistic health in my free time.
